Leisure and Pleasure Activities

We believe that multi-sensory stimulation is an incredibly important part of long-term care and rehabilitative therapy for many residents. For this reason, we place significant emphasis on activities that provide patients with specific sensory experiences.

These include:

  • Tactile discrimination (touch)
  • Old factory stimulation (smell)
  • Auditory stimulation (hear)
  • Visual stimulation (sight)

We achieve regular sensory stimulation for residents through a schedule of activities, including cooking, gardening, movies, storytelling and swimming; which take place twice every week for each resident. Where appropriate we also provide opportunities for residents to attend Friday Prayers and Quarn recitation.
