Established in 2011, NMC ProVita manages 2 multidisciplinary therapy outpatient departments and a total of almost 280 post-acute care beds at designated facilities in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai and Muscat, Oman as well as private units at NMC Royal Hospital Abu Dhabi and Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah to address all inpatient and outpatient post-acute care needs across the region.
NMC ProVita also manages the skilled nursing, medical, rehabilitation and dialysis needs of almost 300 patients in the comfort of their homes throughout the UAE as the operator of Americare Home Health Services, Taskeen, Premiere, LifeWise, Reaya and Emirates Rehabilitation & Home Care.
NMC ProVita was the first long-term care rehabilitation facility in the region to attain the prestigious Joint Commission International Accreditation in 2013. NMC ProVita was also awarded the distinguished three-year accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International (CARF) in 2017 for its patient-centric protocols and its commitment to improving patients’ quality of life. For the third time, NMC ProVita received the prestigious three-year Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in 2019 until 2022.

Michael Davis brings to NMC Healthcare 30 years of experience with large acute and post-acute listed hospital systems in the US. He has held the position of Chief Clinical Officer for the Hospital Division of RehabCare with operational oversight of 36 long-term acute care and inpatient rehabilitation hospitals across the United States. When RehabCare was acquired by Kindred Healthcare, Michael stayed on to serve as a Market CEO for Kindred, one of the largest healthcare providers in North America. He relocated to the UAE in 2013 to join TVM Healthcare MENA, a boutique private equity fund, to assist in the growth and development of their long-term care business and held the position of CEO of NMC ProVita International Medical Center, the first provider of long-term acute care in the UAE. NMC ProVita was bought by NMC in August 2015 in a bid to strengthen the company’s LTC and Home Care vertical. Michael has reported to Prasanth Manghat, CEO of NMC Health since August 2015 and has played an integral role in NMC’s entry into the KSA market. He moved to NMC’s corporate strategic leadership team in June 2017 as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
