Dr. Raafat Aly Ahmad Ammar

Dr. Raafat Ammar joined NMC ProVita on October 2014 as a specialist physician. He graduated from Cairo University, Kasr Al-Ainy School of Medicine in the year 1989. He also completed his masters in cardiology from Cairo University in 1996. He got his MRCP in general medicine from Ireland at 2011. After graduation in 1989, he joined Kobri al Kobba Military Hospital for one and half years in cardiology, where he managed the cardiology consults and CCU patients and practiced noninvasive cardiology techniques. Then, in 1993, he moved to Nasser Institute Hospital as a residency program, then became a specialist intensivist, where he worked in different ICUs of big hospitals including general medical, cardiac, post cardiac surgery, trauma, neuro and stroke ICUs. In 1998, he joined KSA and was assigned as the head of ICU in MCH (Maternity and Children’s Hospital) in Al Hassa for 6 years. He also joined the national guards in KSA as an intensivist on locum basis. In 2007, he moved to UAE, where he joined Tawam Hospital as a specialist intensivist, where they have a lot of medical and trauma patients in their ICU. He also handled a lot of oncology-critical cases as the hospital is considered a major oncology center all over UAE. With his wide experience in ICU and cardiology for more than 22 years, his special interests are in general medical, and surgical and trauma ICU. He is experienced in all critical care procedures and interventions.
