Dr. Raafat Aly Ahmad Ammar
Dr. Raafat Ammar has joined NMC ProVita on October 2014 as a Specialist Physician. He graduated from Cairo University, Kasr Al-Ainy School of Medicine in 1989. He also completed his Master degree in Cardiology from Cairo University in 1996. He got his MRCP in general internal medicine from Ireland at 2011. After graduation in 1989, he joined Kobri Al Qobba Military Hospital for one and half year in Cardiology department, where he managed cardiology consults and CCU patients and practiced noninvasive cardiology techniques. Then, in 1993, he moved to Nasser Institute Hospital, a large tertiary hospital with more than 1000 beds , where he spent 6 years as a specialist in different ICU departments including general medical, cardiac, post cardiac surgery, trauma, neuro-critical care units. In 1998, he moved to Saudi Arabia (KSA) and was assigned as the head of ICU in MCH (Maternity and Children’s Hospital) in Al Hassa for 6 years. He also joined the critical care team in National Guard Hospital in KSA on locum basis. In 2007, he moved to UAE, where he worked as a specialist intensivist at Tawam Hospital, affiliated with John Hopkins Hospital, a large tertiary Hospital in UAE , handling a huge variety of critical medical and trauma patients. He also handled a lot of oncology-critical cases as the hospital is considered a referral oncology center all over UAE. With his wide experience in ICU and cardiology for more than 25 years, his special interests are in general medical, surgical and trauma ICU. He is experienced in all critical care procedures and interventions.
