Biography

Perpetua is an accomplished Senior Occupational Therapist with a wealth of experience working with patients of all ages and abilities, spanning different disorders. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Perpetual Help College in Manila, obtained in March 1999. Perpetua's dedication to her profession is evident through her numerous board certifications, including Occupational Therapy Registered in the USA (OTR), Occupational Therapy Licensed in Texas, USA (OTR/L), Occupational Therapy Registered in the Philippines (OTRP) as well as holding licenses under the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) and Ministry of Health Abu Dhabi (MOH).


As the first Filipina Occupational Therapist in Abu Dhabi, Perpetua has been working in the field since 2000. Her clinical expertise is extensive, ranging from educational settings for children with determination to hospital settings, long-term care settings, rehabilitation settings, and hand therapy. She approaches patient care holistically, incorporating sensory motor, cognitive and psychosocial components to ensure comprehensive treatment.


Perpetua has expertise in splinting and seating systems and underwent formal seating training in Foligno, Italy. She is also trained in utilizing the Functional Independence Measure Instrument. She actively shares her knowledge by providing in-service training to her colleagues and is part of the team that teaches Manual Handling in the facility.

Outside of work, Perpetua enjoys outdoor activities and nature. She has a keen interest in home organization and interior design. With 23 years of diverse experience, Perpetua has a special interest in working with pediatric patients and neuro rehabilitation.
