SHARJAH: Citing growing demand in patient volumes and bed occupancy, NMC ProVita International Medical Center, a subsidiary of the UAE’s largest private healthcare provider NMC Healthcare, aims to double its bed capacity by the end of Q4 in the Northern Emirates. The facility has achieved up to a 97 percent occupancy rate in the first half of 2018 at its inaugural long-term care and rehabilitative services provider in Sharjah.

The Emirati mum of six was spending most of her time at NMCProvita International Medical Center where one of her daughters Rawdha Abdulla, suffering from a rare medical problem, was admitted for long-time care. “The facility takes care of patients who need post-acute care and rehabilitation,” she said, noting how patients there are for the long term.
Home health providers witness 20% increase in demand for services during Summer
Tamer, a 45-year-old Egyptian resident of Abu Dhabi, was admitted to NMC ProVita’s inpatient Multi-Disciplinary Medical Rehabilitation Programme in March 2018, after having suffered a brain stroke which resulted in severe weakness in his right upper and lower limbs, swallowing difficulties, pain in his right hip and low spirits.
Fatima was the only one to survive an early delivery back in 2014 when her mother gave birth to quadruplets. Since being moved to NMC ProVita, with the help of a multidisciplinary team comprising of medical experts and therapists, her progress in reaching the developmental milestones has left everyone around her awed.
