Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council and organized by the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs the Al Ain Club for the disabled will host its 7th International Athletics for the disabled 2013, onTuesday and Wednesday 19th and 20th March at Al Ain Club for the Disabled. We are very proud to contribute to this event by being one of the sponsors. Toni Piispanen from Finland in class T51, World Champion in wheelchair track races Karim Bettina from Algeria Class F32 , World Champion in Shot Put and Club Throw for cerebral palsy class 32 Nadia Medjmedj from Algeria in Class F57, World Champion in Javelin Throw and Shot put Stela Eneva from Bulgaria in class F58, World Champion in Shot Put, Javelin and Discus Throw Mami Sato from Japan in Class T44, Champion in the Long Jump event Hani Alnakhli from Saudi Arabia in class F33 world record holder and silver medallist in London 2012 Paralympic Games. Manuela Schaer from Switzerland in class T54, World Champion in all track and road races. Walid Ktila from Tunisia in class T34, Paralympic Champion and world record holder of 100m and 200m with 2 gold medals in London 2012. Marcos Castillo from Venezuela in class T52, World Champion in track races within his class. In addition to these champions, there will be the following promising champions from Al Ain Club for the Disabled who will take part in the meeting: Rashed Al Dhaheri Class T54, Junior World Champion and 6 medals holder in Junior World Championship in 2012. Abdulaziz Alshekeili class F33, Asian record holder in Shot Put within his class Noura Alketbi class F32, holder of the best performance in UAE club throw Mohammed Alahbabi class T20, Gold Medallist in the latest edition of GCC Championship in 5000m race The Al Ain International Athletics Meeting 2013 Organizing Committee took the initiative of inviting non-disabled athletes to take part this year alongside the disabled athletes for the first time in the history of the Para-Athletics in the whole region.There will be a Hand-cycles 5,000 m show race in the last session of the meeting to promote this sport being practiced until now only in Al Ain Club. The IPC Athletics Technical Delegate is Mr. Tarek Souei, Head of Officiating in IPC Athletics and TD of London 2012 Paralympic Games.
